Dr Nichola O’Reilly
I graduated from University of Queensland in 1994 and came straight to a 40 + degree summer in Townsville. Originally, I only headed north for 1 year; now 21 years on, I haven't left.
In 2014, I was enticed to be the Practice Principal at Belgian Gardens Medical Centre, alongside Dr Fleming and some of the staff from Castletown Family Practice.
I married in 1995 and have had 3 beautiful children, who have fortunately, grown much taller than me.
I love the diversity of General Practice as no day is ever going to be the same and you never know what challenge you will be presented with next.
Dr Fiona Fleming
I arrived in Queensland in 1997 after completing my medical training in Trinity College, Dublin, and my General Practitioner training with the North East training scheme in Ireland.
I have worked in Far North Queensland and country Victoria, before settling in Townsville in 2002.
My Husband and I have 3 amazing daughters who keep us very busy.
I love General Practice. The fact that we treat everyone in the family, the good old cradle to the grave medicine, and the privilege it is to care for people.
I hope to continue here at BGMC, with our wonderful team, for many years to come.
